Agree with throwing them out. I've used Dr. Brown bottles for both of my children and never ran into any issues with cleaning them, let alone mold. There is a sort of pipe cleaner like utensil the bottles come with when you buy them that you use to clean the two parts that go inside the bottle. I always hand wash our bottles in HOT soapy water, use the pipe cleaner thing for the 3 areas needed for the "parts," use a nipple brush to clean the nipples and the larger end of the straw like thing in the bottle and a bottle brush for the bottle itself....rinse everything well and air dry on a clean towel. Never a problem. I don't think dishwashers get the internal pieces of the bottles as clean as I can with hand washing - I've never used the dishwasher for the bottles and parts.
Forgot to mention another important comment....I ALWAYS rinse all parts and bottle/nipple with hot water right after use, I NEVER leave the formula/milk/breastmilk remnants sitting around in the bottle after a feeding. All bottles are rinsed well prior to me having time to wash them thoroughly together. :-)
Throw them out and buy new ones

What about moms who aren't home all the time? I can't guarantee that day care is going to rinse them thoroughly.

I fill the left bucket sink with hot soapy water each day and after each feeding I put the used bottles in to soak. Then I use a bottle brush to hand wash all the parts and let them air dry on a bottle rack. Please throw out any item that has gotten moldy- I just wouldn't trust it to give to my baby.

bleach water soak for an hr then dishwasher.
I agree with everything Spamola wrote. That's exactly how I keep mine clean. Rise after each use and hand wash and use the pipe cleaner brush that comes with the bottle. Never had any problems.
